The Fan Speed Button deactivates itself automatically. You need to reactivate it again.
In order to reactivate it, select the Mode Button (the bottom right button)on your remote control. Press it several times until the Fan Speed icon appears on the Halo fan display panel. You can can now press the fan speed button to select your desired speed.
